The Kiwanis Club of Owen Sound would like to offer your community a wonderful opportunity!
For a few years now, our new Santa Claus float has successfully carried the jolly old elf through Christmas parades in various communities in both day and night time parades. It truly has proven to be a real crowd pleaser. Kids both young and old are in awe and can’t wait to see as Santa passes through their midst along the parade route. Special effects lighting on board make it particularly beautiful for night parades.
We have decided to offer this beautiful work of art to five municipalities within our area to be used for their own Christmas parades on an annual basis. It has come to our attention that your community may benefit from our services. Any organization or service club can sponsor the cost of the float. We simply need to be invited to participate in the parade and will do everything we can to find sponsorship if none steps forward to the plate.
The fee for the service of providing the float is One Thousand dollars. The proceeds go directly into the Kiwanis General Service Fund where it is used for worthy causes both locally and internationally. The needs of children are our prime focus.
On parade day, we supply parade marshals to escort the float for the event. If desired we can also provide Santa for the occasion, however normally that function is the responsibility of the municipality or parade sponsor.
Once again, we would like very much to be part of your Christmas parade each year. Because of conflicts in parade schedules, please don’t miss out on this opportunity.
