What to Wear
*    Dress in layers for warmth - fleece, winter jackets and comfortable warm  footwear..
*    Remember that umbrellas will unfortunately block the view, so please leave them at home.  Many dollar
      stores carry inexpensive and compact rain ponchos - have one in your pocket for "just in case"!

Parade Etiquette
Secure your spot on Santa’s nice list! Follow these Rogers Santa Claus Parade protocols:
*    Respect parade officials. Your safety and that of your family is paramount. Obey all instructions to avoid
      Santa’s naughty list!
*    S marks the spot - someone else’s that is! Never move or occupy an empty chair. This curbside spot has
      been reserved.
*    Consider Others
*    Please Don’t smoke
*    Wear your rain gear. Umbrellas block the view.
*    Be nice. Please allow those in wheelchairs front row, curb side viewing of the parade. Also, allow families
      with children to sit in front. We short people appreciate it too!
*    Say “excuse me” or “I’m sorry” if you bump or step on someone in the crowd.
*    Property…a respectful reminder: climbing on or sitting atop anything belonging to someone else, the
      businesses or city (other than benches) is a not no.

Animals
Please consider whether this event is appropriate for the temperament of your pet.  If you choose to bring your pet, they must be under your care and control at all times and on a lease.  You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet and disposing it properly in garbage bins or are subject to a fine.  It is NOT recommended for animals who may respond anxiously to crowds and noise.  Excessive barking is a safety issue for float participants and animals who will be in the parade.

First Aid
Paramedics and Police are located at the main street intersections.  Parade Marshals (wearing bright green vests with Kiwanis Logos) are visible throughout the entire route positioned street front.  If you require emergency health assistance, please approach any of the Parade Marshals (wearing bright green safety vests).  They will contact the level of health care assistance you require.  In the event of an emergency, do not hesitate to dial 911 for assistance.
